November 2006: Congratulations to Claudia C. Corredor and Dr. Zhen-Li Huang for their work on two-photon 3D optical data storage [Advanced Materials,  2006, 18, 2910-2914.], which was recently highlighted by Nature Photonics.

June 2006: Kevin D. Belfield (PI) and Andres D. Campiglia (co-PI) hosted the ACS PRF Summer School on Optical, Photonic, and Electronic Materials, sponsored by a Type H award from The Petroleum Research Fund of the American Chemical Society. The objective of the ACS PRF Summer School on Optical, Photonic, and Electronic Materials, held at UCF in June 2006, was to bring aspiring chemists at relatively early stages of their careers, along with faculty from two-year colleges, for an intensive educational experience in cutting edge materials that are used in a number of emerging technologies.
